Printshop makes things to print: QR codes and barcodes, Wi-Fi guest cards, calendars in 17 languages with week numbers and public holidays, label sheets filled from a CSV file, graph and music paper, posters tiled over ordinary sheets and folded booklets. Every printable is a true-size vector PDF with a test square, plus SVG and PNG, made in your browser.

  • Standards-true QR codes

    All 40 versions and the four error-correction levels, the shortest mix of numeric, alphanumeric and byte modes, all eight masks scored — checked against an independent decoder.

  • Wi-Fi guest cards

    Network name and password become a scan-to-join code on 1, 2, 4 or 8 cards per page. The password never goes into share links.

  • EAN-13, UPC-A and Code 128

    Check digits calculated or verified, GS1 sizes and quiet zones, and Code 128 that switches between code sets for the shortest barcode.

  • Calendars in 17 languages

    One month per page or the year on one sheet, month and day names from CLDR, right-to-left Arabic, and the first weekday of your region.

Frequently asked questions

Will my printout have the right size?

Yes, if you print at 100 % (“actual size”) and not “fit to page”. Every PDF has a test square or a 10 cm scale bar: measure it after printing. Printers can still be off by a fraction of a millimetre.

Do the QR codes work with every phone?

They follow ISO/IEC 18004 and were checked with an independent decoder for all versions, levels and masks. Keep the quiet zone, use dark on light, keep modules above about 0.33 mm and test a print with your audience’s phones.

Is my Wi-Fi password safe?

Printshop makes the code in your browser; nothing is uploaded for the app. The password is stored only in this browser’s project and in project files you save. Share links never contain it, so the receiver has to type it in again.

Which label sheets are supported?

Any sheet: choose one of the generic layouts (named by size, for example A4 3 × 8 70 × 37 mm) or enter the measurements from the sheet’s package — page size, columns, rows, label size, margins and pitch. Print a test on plain paper first.

Where do the holidays come from?

From the public-holiday data of the RuleDate tool (Nager.Date, MIT licence) for 16 countries, 2024 to 2030, with regional holidays when you enter a region code such as DE-BY. School holidays are not included.

Can I make barcodes for products in shops?

You can print EAN-13 and UPC-A for numbers you own. Retail product numbers must be licensed from GS1; a barcode alone does not register a product.

How do I print a booklet?

Download the booklet PDF and print it double-sided, flipping on the short edge. Stack the sheets in order, fold them in the middle and staple along the fold. Check the first sheet before printing all.

Can an AI agent make these printables?

Yes. The seven Printshop tools have a JSON API and MCP and return the PDF, SVG and PNG plus a link that opens the result here for editing.

Limitations

What Printshop does not do (yet):

  • Printshop prints its own printables; it does not import or impose existing PDF files.
  • QR codes use numeric, alphanumeric and byte (UTF-8) modes; Kanji mode, Micro QR, structured append and GS1 QR are not supported.
  • Barcodes: EAN-13, UPC-A and Code 128 (ASCII) only; no EAN-8, add-ons, GS1-128 application identifiers, Data Matrix or PDF417.
  • Chinese, Japanese and Korean text uses small font subsets with calendar words and common characters; other CJK characters fall back to English labels or are missing from the PDF.
  • Holidays cover 16 countries for 2024–2030; school holidays and local observances are not included.
  • Images for posters and booklets must be JPEG or PNG; the PNG preview of a tile shows grey boxes instead of the photo, and very large images make big PDFs.
  • Colours are sRGB; there is no CMYK, bleed or spot-colour output for professional print shops.
